CONCEPT
SINGLE BUNDLE ACL

Medacta Single Bundle ACL set has been designed to perform the reconstruction of a torn ACL using the Single Bundle Technique.

Medacta Single Bundle ACL technique improves upon invasive double bundle technique which requires additional tunnels,
grafts and fixations in the knee joint.

The set enables the creation of femoral and tibial tunnels, specifically sized for the insertion of a reinforced graft to be fixed with Medacta Extracortical Femoral Button and Medacta MectaScrew PEEK Interference Screw implants.

The instruments set is customizable for transtibial and anteromedial approaches.

TECHNICAL DATA

GRAFT SIZER

Graft sizes:

  • Small: measuring graft sizes from Ø4.5 mm up to Ø8.5 mm
  • Large: measuring graft sizes from Ø9 mm up to Ø12 mm

Open and closed configurations

TIBIAL AIMER

Designed to create a tunnel in the tibial bone in correspondence with the ACL tibial insertion site

Adjustable angle 45° - 70°

Locking mechanisms preventing bullet and lower arc slippage

TIBIAL AIMER BULLET

To be assembled with the aiming arc to create the tibial tunnel

Laser marked measuring scale for tibial tunnel length evaluation

CANNULATED AND NON-CANNULATED SCREWDRIVER

The screwdriver is used to properly place the Medacta PEEK interference screw (MectaScrew PEEK), ensuring the appropriate fixation of the graft

Two configurations:

  • Cannulated screwdriver: T20 - T25 - T40
  • Noncannulated screwdriver: T20 - T25 - T40

In case of a cannulated screwdriver, a Ø 1.1 mm Nitinol guidewire is available to guide the insertion

BONE WEDGE CHISEL

Designed to create bone wedges

KNEE MICROFRACTURE

Designed to pierce the bone surface
Tip: 60°

FEMORAL AIMER ANTEROMEDIAL TECHNIQUE

Used to properly place a Ø2.4 mm k-wire in the femoral bone. It features circumferential laser markings and a tip that enables direct visualisation of the ACL insertion site and a nose which ensures a proper fit on the femoral condyle

Two configurations available:

  • For Ø7 and Ø8 mm tunnels with at least 2 mm back wall offset
  • For Ø9 and Ø10 mm tunnel with at least 2 mm back wall offset

FEMORAL AIMER TRANSTIBIAL TECHNIQUE

Used to properly place a Ø2.4 mm k-wire in the femoral bone. It features circumferential laser markings and a tip that enables direct visualisation of the ACL insertion site and a nose which ensures a proper fit on the femoral condyle

Two configurations available:

  • For Ø7 and Ø8 mm tunnels with at least 2 mm back wall offset
  • For Ø9 and Ø10 mm tunnel with at least 2 mm back wall offset

DILATOR QUICK CONNECTION HANDLE

To be coupled with the dilator tips

Enables easy and safe assembly/disassembly of each tip

OVAL DILATOR

Used to dilate both femoral and tibial tunnels

Each dilator is cannulated in order to slide along a Ø2.4 mm k-wire

Head diameter from Ø6 mm up to Ø12 mm, by 0.5 mm increments

REAMER

Designed to slide along a Ø2.4 mm k-wire and used for femoral and tibial tunnels overdrilling

Available in 16 sizes from Ø4.5 mm up to Ø12 mm with 0.5 mm increments
