The FairFix Adjustable Button is a soft tissue re-fixation implant constituted by a titanium cortical button pre-assembled with a UHMWPE suture loop, which aims to reduce micromotion at the graft–bone interface. It is available in multiple configurations to address multiple graft sources (i.e. looped and non-looped graft) and surgical preferences (loop shortening via the extracortical side or the anterior portal). All the implants are provided on a dedicated carrier which assits the graft implant connection and proper management of the sutures. Dedicated accessory extenders, of various shape and sizes, are available to enlarge the implant footprint as desired.
Key Features
One size fits all
Adjustable loop eliminates the need for multiple device sizes and streamlines inventory management.
Graft cradle
Loop construction shields the graft during tensioning, preventing the “sawing effect”
Wide portfolio
FairFix
Versions tailored for both looped and non-looped graft, with dedicated extenders for footprint enlargement, cover multiple graft source and surgical technique
Interchangeable pull and flip suture
High-strength, color-coded (i.e., blue, white) sutures of identical diameter and material ensure consistent mechanical performance and interchangeability
Secure locking mechanism
Robust locking design minimizes loop elongation and micromotion under cyclic loading (data on file)
Low profile titanium button
It minimizes soft-tissue irritation at the femoral cortex
Pre-assembled on preparation card
FairFix
The implant arrive ready to use on a dedicate card, streamlining surgical flow and improving suture management
Dedicate Extenders
FairFix
Multiple shape and sizes to enlarge implant footprint

1 - A Flat Reconstruction of the Medial Collateral Ligament and Anteromedial Structures Restores Native Knee Kinematics: A Biomechanical Robotic Investigation
Deichsel A, Peez C, Raschke MJ, Albert A, Herbort M, Kittl C, Fink C, Herbst E. Am J Sports Med. 2024 Nov;52(13):3306-3313. doi: 10.1177/03635465241280984. Epub 2024 Oct 3. PMID: 39360333; PMCID: PMC11542325.
Conclusion: Insufficiency of the sMCL and dMCL led to excess valgus rotation, ER, ATT, and anteromedial tibial translation. A combined flat reconstruction of the sMCL and the anteromedial aspect restored this excess laxity to values not significantly different from those of the native knee.
