CONCEPT

The Mpact 3D Metal is a cementless hemispherical acetabular shell made of an advanced fixation material created via additive manufacturing (3D printing): the 3D Metal.

The 3D Metal provides a high coefficient of friction and a high level of porosity to address the need for initial stability and long-term biologic fixation.  

The Mpact 3D Metal is part of the Mpact product family, an acetabular shell system offering different shell and liner options, offering reconstructive solutions from primary to complex revisions solutions.

TECHNOLOGY

3D Metal is a three-dimensional advanced biomaterial, based on 3D printing technology of the clinically proven Ti6Al4V alloy that enables direct structural connection with the bone. The architecture of the outer surfaces consists of interconnecting pores and resembles cancellous bone.
